Message from the Director

May 2022

Hi! I'm Michelle Alt and I'm the Director of the Colorado Springs Ladies Events.

I've been with the group since 2007 and have enjoyed every minute and every friendship it has brought me. It came at a time in my life when I thought I lost so much; my ability to work; my friends; my social life; my career; and my future. Due to health issues, I went on disability and I felt I lost everything.

With the way I am though, I wanted to find a purpose for myself and tried several things. All not healthy for me and eventually I'd have to quit each one. However, CSLE was different. I had friends, supporters, helpers and people who genuinely cared. This made all the difference for me and allowed me to keep going.

When COVID took over and changed happened within CSLE I almost gave up. However, a very close friend of mine wouldn't let me. Through her we were able to find a wonderful group of people to begin anew. This is how we came to finally build our non-profit!

With this new group of ladies I see a bright future for CSLE. The reason I explained my story is I feel it related to what we want to accomplish in our community. So many people are lost due to one reason or another and need help. We want to provide as much help as we can to our local community and share the love. There are so many who need it.

I hope after reading our stories and seeing our past photos you'll want to experience one of our Costume Parties for yourself. Soon, we will also be offering other fundraisers throughout the year. We'd love to see you there!
